‘The Brand Saloon’
Training Institute presents a case study competition for zealous B-school Students of Mumbai. The institute provides a host of courses for B-school students in the digital space and help them groom their online marketing skills. For the first time it presents an opportunity for you to showcase your intellectual and creative skills. The following are the details of the competition.

Case Study:
is a computer company that provides computer support in both a consulting and technical capacity to small business owners as well as home PC users. They mainly focus on delivering excellent service, and using word of mouth from its initial period to network with other potential clients. Market research indicates an attractive market niche for Reboot’s services. The very nature of the computing industry, with its extraordinary rate of technological development, creates a constant need for businesses skilled in updating and advising customers on computer-related issues. Small-business owners need reliable and quick help with all their computer needs, since every hour down may mean an hour or more of lost revenue, especially for any business with a website or those doing e-commerce. Thus, Reboot being able to provide end to end consultancy and technical support to these businesses; it can cater to their full time IT needs without they actually investing in fulltime IT employees.

Services offered by Reboot:
* On-site repair and consulting services
* Maintenance contracts
* Software support
* Hardware and networking support.

Task at hand:
Students are required to come up with a Social Media Plan for REBOOT using websites like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

1.) The main objectives of the social media plan should be:
    * Decide on the ‘Positioning’ of the brand
    * Establish brand identity and generate brand recognition
    * Customer engagement
    * Highlight the services offered

2.) The event Layout:
    * 1st round- This will be an online round. The participants will have to send their strategy in ppt (max 3 slides excluding introduction slide) and/or        word document (max 500 words).

    * 2nd round- In this round, the teams will be asked to prepare a detailed write up of the implementation of their strategies. Also, Print Ads would be       required to be made by participants. Judgement in this round will be based on the number of likes generated by the print AD on the official fan       page of 'The Brand Saloon Training Institute' (https://www.facebook.com/seocoursetraininginstituteinmumbai?sk=wall) and the feasibility of the       detailed Social Media Plan.

* Registration opens: 19th January 2012
* 1st round entries close: 1st February 2012 - 23:59:59
* 1st round results announced and Commencement of 2nd round: 5th February 2012
* 2nd round results announced: 15th February 2012 - 23:59:59
* Announcement of Results : 18th February 2012

First Prize – INR 7000/- and certificates
Second Prize – INR 5000/- and certificates

* Team size: 2 or 3 members

* Participants should refrain from obscenity.
* There subject line of the entries should be in format-
  TBS<team name><name of the Institute>
  Ex TBS<ABC><XYZ Institute>
* All deliverables should be mailed to contest@thebrandsalon.com
* The name of the institute should not appear anywhere on any other   deliverables (slides, document, video etc.), otherwise their participation will be     cancelled.
* Font of the document should be Times New Roman, font size – 12, line spacing – 1.5
* All members of a team should be fulltime/part time B-school students of Mumbai only. A team can have members from different B-schools as well.
* One member cannot be a part of more than one team
* Once submitted, the teams will forfeit the rights on the proposals (including the ones not shortlisted for the further rounds) and they will be wholly   owned by Reboot. No claim on the proposals will be entertained.
